How any ABB 3 Phase Electric Locomotive changes track ?

I mean to say that the THROTTLE OF THESE LOCOS HAS ONLY FORWARD & BACKWARD POSITION SO HOW TRACK CHANGING IS MADE BY THESE LOCOS ?
IS THE SOFTWARE CONTROLS THE ENTIRE LOCO AFTER STARTING OF THE LOCO ?
OR
THERE IS ANY OTHER PROCEDURE WHICH HELP THE LP FOR MAKING TRACK CHANGE FOR THESE ABB LOCOMOTIVES ?
