Hi Folks,
I notice that CITIBANK refunds transaction charges where as I have not seen with any other bank.
Here is an example:

6.75 is 1.8% of the cancellation refund amount Rs 375.
They charge at 1.8% while booking, so refund is also 1.8% of the refund amount.

I use HDFC NetBanking. Service Charges are refunded simultaneously.
Spoke to their helpline. The lady said HDFC does not refund anything for transaction charges in credit card. I was shocked and gave her my citibank example. She gave me a mail ID to escalate. I have done that.
There cant be different rules for different cards. Lets see what they have to say to my mail.

I am doing it through netbanking.
I think, there may be a difference on gateway like Credit Card, Debit Card or NetBanking. Also, there is a possibility that this difference exists on account of type of Account.
