SAD which was alliance partner in NDA was in confidence (had the Food Processing Industries ministry), but decided to walk away, breaking the alliance. This added to wide spread misinformation from congress and other parties. This and their staged protests polarized the farmers from real importance of the bills. Thus they joined the protests. I wonder why railways becomes the first choice of protesters, be it Punjab, Rajsthan or WB.
