What do you folks think of the new 2S coaches designed(the new LHB kind)? For some 'window' seats, there is NO window at all and just a wall with charging port. For others, there is some window space but blocked by the glass closing mechanism which takes a lot of space. I liked the good old mechanism where one pushed from above to close a window. Only very few seats are actual window seats.

Now number of windows are added. The one u are telling is 8 window ones manufacturered till late 2018. Now all are uniform with 9 windows so each window seat is guaranteed with one. Also there are 2S types which are facing oposite just like old ones and in that, it is guaranteed window seats like sleeper .
Mine was a 2019 coach manufactured at RCF, Raebareily and it didn't have window seats as you mention.
Latest MCF made are 10 window , ICF rectified this 2 years ago, I still have idea that RCF is still hanging on to 8 window side
ICF make is 9 window, only RCF is still hanging arounf 8 window it seems
Yes I have seen these coaches in use in multiple trains. I agree that these are better than the ones I traveled in.
