** Costing @ Rs. 268Cr/Km (as reported), the 865 km long Delhi-Varanasi project shall cost 2,30,000 Crore which are just initial estimates and the actual cost is likely to be much higher.
** With proposed fare of Rs. 2300 for Lucknow (550kms) & Rs 3400 for Varanasi (870kms), the level of traffic required to breakeven should be much higher than 1lac per day each way estimated by the IIM-A study for Mumbai-Ahmedabad HST project.
