How come there are slots available b/w ndl-gnt whereas earlier they were saying no slots available for introducing trains like nandyal-guntur, kurnool - vizag

Well, personally I don't see much benefit of having separate train between Krnt - tpty/hup. Instead, vizag/mumbai connectivity is essential at this moment as there is not even a single train.

FYI, Getting PM at Kurnool was one of the proposal mooted by ex MoSR and it didn't move because he resigned to protest new state formation otherwise it would have materialized. Though, there is some negligence about doubling/pitline via/at Kurnool but Kurnool has 3 dedicated trains to Hyderabad.

I am neither RM nor public representative to shift a train and as Vizag in another zone it may not an easy task to shift PM of a train.

I am not targeting single zone but my point is Guntur division is not giving enough importance to Nandyal which is second/third highest revenue generating stations in its division so why can't a single dedicated train b/w them. I mean despite road connectivity is pathetic. I'd wonder they are saying path constrains but I don't remember seeing GNT-NDL line in top congestion/HUN line.

Till Pre covid time there used to run CCT/BZA - RC/KRNT triweekly services. Proposed KRNT - VSKP daily ONT can use that path with slight adjustments.
Provided VSKP agrees to take the PM of that rake.

In Guntur division, Repalle has higher passenger traffic, as compared to Nandyal. But, Repalle also doesn't have any Intercity train, to any of the city.

So, introduction of train on Indian Railways, is dependent on various factor(s), which include but not limited to - Commercial Justification, Operational feasibility, Availability of rolling stock etc.

congestion in Guntur-Nandyal section, you may please refer Indian Railway's National Rail Plan ( click here ) Page No. 400 to 403, where in Guntur-Guntakal section falls under HUN8, which is planned for Doubling with Automatic Signalling.

At least as per wiki, repalle is D station where as nandyal and nalgonda are referred as B class stations. May be this reference is not latest (not sure)

I stand corrected on HUN part, thanks for the reference.

When you see HUN 9, though it's larger line but capacity utilization before doubling
100 to 150% is 29% of total line
and more than 150% is 11% of total line
where as in HUN8
100 to 150% is 19%
and more than 150% is 0%

Just to add, MBNR-Kurnool-Dhone capacity utilization is 117% whereas Guntur-Nandyal capacity is 94% (point here is how many trains running in HUN9 network compared to HUN8)

Nevertheless, single line Nalgonda - Guntur single line has 8 daily express trains and 2-3 weekly trains where as nandyal - Guntur just has 4 daily trains and without single ICE.

Your reply on starting new trains is standard one which IR uses when they don't want to start any train. If you have traveled to Nandyal/Kurnool from Guntur by road then you will see the agony of passengers because of frequent traffic disruptions, pathetic roads etc. Just one ICE with decent timings b/w NDL-GNT :)
