JOURNEY DATE:29.07.2012. TRAIN:12313 COACH:A1 : PART1:arrived at the station a bit early by the budge budge sealdah local which i had boarded from MJT. as i walked into pf9B, gangasagar express was stationed which was to leave in some time. 9a was emprty and the construction of pf 9c was almost complete, so that adds yet another platform to sealdah.lots of emu trains were comin in as well as leaving which is the traditional sight at sealdah stn. i could see the rake of sealdah rajdhani stationed in the pit-lines towards my right(facing ddj side) . further down, there was the rake of 12259 duronto which was being washed in the carshed. gangasagar left bang on time and then a BGA blue wds6 hauled in the rake of 12313 rajdhani at around 4.20 pm. the rake was ad-free and had only one durontolivery 3ac coach , rest were pure raj...

livery. i went in and occupied my berth, 29,which was side lower. in my coach, there was 1 MP, with his 2 accompliances, two MLAs with their accompliances, and one ex-mla. they were all going for a rally (most probably of RSP party) that was arranged in new delhi the next day. there was no berth empty in any coach of 2ac. the coach as well as bathrooms were neat and clean. soon, the windows were washed from outside by soap water and mop. i went towards the loco to see the road number. it was wap7 30294 of ghaziabad . sharp at 16.50 , there was a shrill horn, and the train started with a jerk.

we slowed down at bansinala and just as the train was about to accelerate, there was a sudden noise and the train came to a screeching halt. some said there was chain pulling, others said it was a runover,, but anyways, we were stopped for a full 8 mins. then we started again with a jerk. we pulled into gaya jn at 22.44 hrs, 7 mins before time. after gaya, our struggle started,,, the train went at a constant speed of around 60 kph god knows why.. we were also having intermittent stops and finally came to a halt on nehru bridge at 00.17 hrs. opened simran on my mobile and saw the position of hwh and dbrt raj.. hwh raj was 8 kms from mgs,,, dbrt raj was 18 kms.,, so our chances of overtake of any of these 2 were virtually over. anyways, after a 5 min...

halt, we started again, this time we picked up speed ,,, and maintained it till MGS. we entered MGS 32 mins late at 01.42 hrs. down sdah raj was also standing on the other side. out of curiousity, i opened simran again to check the positions and to my utter surprise, hwh raj and dbrt were still 8 and 18 kms from MGS and sdah drnt was struggling at gaya!! we were leading the bunch!!after MGS, we went at good speed for sometime, but then we were stranded in the middle of nowhere for 30 mins. then, aftyer another brief run, we were again stopped . i saw outside the window for the stn name . it was MZP. after another 35-40 mins halt, we started again. i cudnt sleep because of the snoring of our netas.. anyways, at 4.41 am, we came to a halt at manda road. i opened simran to see the positions again,,, hwh and dbrt raj were stuck at MZP ,, sdah drnt at MGS,, we were leading the rajdhanis towards ndls despite all the delay! i asked few people what was wrong. they said there was no current in the OHE and the train wont run till current comes.hours passed,, and at 6.40 am, we were still stranded at manda road. bed tea was served. finally, we left at around 6.50 hrs.
