I think WCR has to reintroduce those halts anyway, just like how they did for Jodhpur-Bhopal Express. reintroduced 13 halts. Only then Vindhyachal will get proper patronage. IMO it should have been converted into Antyodaya, fully unreserved train serving multiple small distance section in that way, Public will not have burden of Fare also Railway will earn a little more due to slight high Antyodaya Fare and multiple small section will lead to a comparative higher revenue generation.
Then simply close the trains, already Delhi going public are inclining more towards Flights, there are now 6-7 daily flights to Delhi, who will prefer the 150 MPS yet a slow Shatabdi. There should have been a speedup but we got a slowdown, even when 1 halt got removed and WCR upgraded its section to 130 kmph. There are no premium trains hindering its run still it got slowed down. Its a damn Shatabdi train, it should have got the high priority but no, it got slacked up in the sections where slowdown wasn't even required. Trains like CSMT Raj is covering the section in 7 hour 40 minutes and this train is taking 1 hour extra just to cover 14 more KMs even when its having a 20kmph higher speed in almost 200 km distance. Doesn't make sense.
