But why Ayodhya Cantonment? Cantonment is a pre independence name for the military garrison.It should have been Ayodhya Junction or RamNagari Ayodhya.
Faizabad Cantt is Category-II cantonment established in 1856. One of the Cantonment board of Central command is situated in Faizabad. Also, Regimental centre of Dogra Regiment is here only
