This is a station in Kharagpur. Trains coming from BBS side and going to TATA/ADRA side stop here instead of going to KGP to avoid a loco reversal.

This is not a suburb station. It is the 2nd most important station after Kharagpur Jn and this is the default station for IIT KGP.
IIT KGP is just beside this station.
