Siva Kumar, you are right, infact AFIK the whole system of signalling is electronic on Konkan. I talked to one of the KR staff and he said all trains have the same priority except the Rajdhani which will not get the signal to move unless the line is clear not just upto the next station, but upto the second station.

yes its right.. In single line territory the train leaving the station early is given priority.. I was once travelling in swatantrata senani.. It was stopped between ald and bsb to give pass to two passenger trains and one express train..

May be coz of the konkan railway route..otherwise...its always a prefered train for passage ...sudhir
