i want to travel to darjeeling from mumbai.
i dont want to travel full time by train, and at the same time cannot afford flight directly.
is there any other way part train and part air , that could cut my time and also not paying too much?

But the anand ji, If you the want to travel in the toy train from Jolpaiguri, then Darjeeling mail is the best option no?Otherwise he will simpy have to take a hotel room there and take the toy train next day.
toy train from NJP to darjeeling not running due to land slides in between an yr back which destroyed the tracks

Well, they are running joy rides between darjeeling and Ghum and dargeeling and kurseong, I understand that a part of the hill has collapsed so will need a new route to restore, but authorities are in no hurry to find one
The Chief minister cum rail minister not interested to find the solution?very bad.
