Is there any progress on Gauge conversion of Akola-Khandwa-Mhow section? If this route conversion was done, there will be probability of reducing congestion of Mumbai Delhi route. It will benefit both Maharashtra as well as Madhya Pradesh too. South can get new trains to North India too (Hyderabad Jaipur, Tirupati/Madurai to Jaipur, Madurai to Amritsar via (Salem Tirupati Dhone Hyderabad Nanded Akola Khandwa Indore Ratlam Chittaurgarh Ajmer Ringas Sikar Churu Sadulpur Hisar Jakhal Dhuri Ludhiana) and so more. I hope you will give positive reply to my blog😊😊
Yeah this route can be usefull, it will reduce rush of Itarsi, Bhopal, Jhansi section at some extent. But it has one limitation that Only weekly trains can be a hit, daily trains cant run much
I think so due to single line section we can't expect daily trains right? Then what about Konkan route ?
On KR Delhi/Gujarat Bound are Weekly/Biweeklies whereas Mumbai Bound are mostly Daily here.
Mhow Kalakund Toy train and OM passenger is currently running on MG line.
It means no sign of Gage Conversion till now.
