It means there have been some cancellations of tickets already booked owing to which if someone books a ticket now their present status would be RAC 53. If there had been no cancellations the person who books the ticket now would have been positioned at RAC 55. As a result of the cancellations the position of the ticket has advanced two steps towards confirmation.
RAC= Reservation against cancellation. It means u have a berth but in share with one other person. In simple manner Half confirm :D
