The booking status for journey on 1st Oct. 2012 in 3A is WL 54/WL 12. I have not yet booked. Please tell what are the chances of confirmation? Thanks!

Senior citizens are traveling. They don't get any concession in Tatkal. So I was checking if this waiting list can be cleared and ticket can be confirmed!
Yes, Tatkal is the last option. But since senior citizens are traveling, I wanted to avoid booking in Tatkal.
I was able to book a Tatkal ticket for this train today in 15 min. No problem faced during Tatkal booking. Peak or off-peak season, earlier I had never been able to book a Tatkal ticket from home. I have experienced the improvement in this regard.
