Some people who have studied it during primary education can still speak but cant be sure who knows well an who does not !
In Kerala, all outside zone trains ( especially from NR, NFR SCR) terminating at Kerala, dont seem to have Malayalam scripts. The only rare exception being DHN-Allp & even here looking at the way the Malayalam is inscribed, it seems to have been done locally at Allp
Problem with this is people settling in Hyderabad are not learning Telugu. I'm genuinely concerned for the legacy of Telugu language, as a Telugu speaker.
Sabari,Island,Ypr-Can have Malayalam Boards. Sabari has less, though. Well,our side is also at fault sometimes. TVC-SHM doesn't have Bengali Boards, TVC-Veraval,NCJ-GIMB doesnt have Gujarati Boards, only ERS-Okha has those. KSK had Malayalam boards once, but not present now. Don't know whether KCVL-Porbandar and Bhavnagar have Malayalam boards now or not.
