Is IRCTC is a completely independent and uninfluenced body ? Unfortunately it's not, and it's decisions and management are undertaken by the government officials themselves. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation Ltd. (IRCTC) is a Central Public Sector Enterprise under Ministry of Railways, Government of India. The officials will do whatever their masters will order from the ministry.
