The Big Surprise is here for SER. WPO choose Engineering Projects India ( A miniratna PSU) to execute the project of Anara Memu Carshed.

Engineering Projects India published Tenders for the civil , mechanical , electrical and other ancillary works.
After completion this will be largest Memu carshed of SER which will cater the needs of Memu for CKP ,

Details of the work attached below.

Civil Engg work –
(A) Foundations including Pits for PEB Shed:
(i) Covered PEB Shed (Size 465mx15mx7.50m height) for Examination Bay
without Gantry.
(ii)Covered PEB Shed (Size 100mx20mx10.50m height) for Sick line with provision
of
25/7.5TGantry.
(iii)Tower Wagon PEB Shed (Size 30mx8mx8m height) with Oil & Petrol Godown
(Size 2.61mx17mx3m height).
(B) RCC Building
(i)Community Hall (300Sqm)
(ii)Service Building (480 Sqm)
(iii)Electrical Sub Station (ESS) 15mx9m
(C) 02 Nos. Inspection lline with 2 level Pit of 576 m length.
(D) Over Head Tank 50000 Gallons capacity with Deep Tube well.
(E) Track work 3.5 Km
(F) Other work like Concrete Road, Water supply line, Septic Tank, Drain work etc.

GOD knows when will this project get completed. I have no faith on Adra Division on passenger segment.
What will Kharagpur MEMU shed do then if this new Anara MEMU shed will cater Adra, CKP, RNC Div MEMU's.?
Most of the MEMU trains starting from HWH gets maintainance at TKPR. Apart from MEMU trains from HWH/SRC, KGP has very few MEMU trains from KGP. KGP MEMU shed is also getting Expanded.

Before blaming any division particularly try to understand the mindset of the zone..SER was never been a passenger centric zone like ER & don't forget Adra still tops the coal loading divisons of IR just after Dhanbad & with the most number of 25T capble routes in SER just after CKP. The routes of Adra Divison are already over saturated , so putting a new train on these routes required a lot of planning and recommendations.
The extension of KGP shed is for the odisha based routes , not for us.

Yes SER zone is to be blamed for not taking passenger friendly steps.
But i will also blame Adra Division for being a non-passenger freindly zone and only freight zone. Till today Adra Division do not have a single express train with PM @Adra division any station. Why??? Even Adra division do not have any dedicated mail/exp train numbering like "080XX" for KGP Div, "081XX" CKP Div, "086XX" RNC Div. Why ? It is not shamefull?

through Adra Division, How many dedicated MEMU trains Adra Division has as on today??? Adra Division at present has only 1 pitline in whole Division i.e. at Adra. Why? Passengers prefer Bus or go to ER side to catch trains to different directions because of poor railway connectivity to different directions. Adra division has important stations like Bokaro, Purulia, Adra, Bankura, Bishnupur, etc but don't have enough trains from these stations, only freight movement everywhere. If RNC, CKP and KGP Div being in so called freight freindly SER Zone can have its own passenger long and short distance exp trains, then why not Adra division? Because of lack of initiative and lack of interest to run passenger trains. Don't blame only SER, if KGP, CKP, RNC div can do why not Adra Div?
I have not seen Adra Division even proposing for any dedicated long distance trains to any direction in any of the IRTTM or even in zonal meetings. Why? Who is to be blamed for not even giving a proposal. Only MEMU trains r proposed not express trains
Freight train required but passenger trains r also required for public like us to travel.
