Interestingly enough, running status shows that 12101 reached Shalimar (4.47 am) before 12261 reaching HWH (5.10 am), so Jnaneswari would have overtaken Duronto somewhere.
Trainman shows 12262 departed at 7.49 (less than three hours after arrival). AND reached Mumbai almost 9 hours late, most of it again in SECR.

Yes these r all pre-planned i think to force passengers to leave train and travel by flight. Passengers will get fedup and move to flights. I had recently travelled to Mumbai by Duronto with huge late, i have heard passengers saying " train mein daily late jane se accha flight mein jana hai, kiraya bhi bohut difference nehin hai duronto aur flight ka time bachta hai" and more discussions.
In Kolkata to Delhi route also few years back there was same situation when all trains used to run late daily, passengers moved to Flights. Earlier Kolkata to Delhi route all trains used to have huge waiting and in festival seasons ER used to run Puja special, summer and winter special trains...
