A direct Sampark Kranti Express train between Dehradun and Pune be started between these two ciities at the earliest. There is no direct connectivity train between these two cities. People going north ahead of Dehradun from Pune are finding difficult for a direct mode of transport. Request railways to start a direct train between these two cities.
Dehradun and Pune both have Defence Academies (Indian Military Academy ) (National Defence Academy0 respectively so connecting these two cities will be thing of pride.

Pune is directly not connected to many of the stations.
Can have access to Mumbai for connections.

Direct train is fine but why Sampark Kranti? A normal SF via Darshan exp route would suffice I believe.
MB division in which DDN comes would straightaway refuse any more trains to Dehradun. One of the most sluggish divisions in NR. No new trains added in Dehradun despite having a very poor connectivity to most big cities in West & South India.
