The punctuality of Indian Railways for Mail Express trains during the year 2022-23 upto 30th september is about 84% which is about 9% more than the punctuality of about 75% achieved during 2019-20.

My zone SWR is one that gives huuuuuge slack to avoid delays. Plus, timetables and MPS are generally slow without any reason. SBC - JTJ (minus the Mulanur - Patchur ghats) and SBC - DMM (minus the Makalidurga ghats) should be 130 certified. Post doubling/electrification, SBC - UBL should easily get 130.
SBC - MYS being FEDL has too many curves and MPS of only 100, which is atrocious.

Their target for the upcoming year might be more than 90% hence not much change in the new TT. In fact many trains no speed up and wherever speed up has happened at intermediate stations, destination arrival remains the same !!
For past 15 years I've been hearing that tracks in SCR going to be upgraded to 130 kmph. Sadly even RJY stoppage trains take 6-6.5 hrs to cover VSKP-BZA & BZA-PER is still 7-8 hrs journey. No track upgradation,no proper tripling in these 15 yrs . Condition in SECR/CR also worst.
