Happy Birthday to Diesel Loco Shed, Malda Town !

The Shed was initially a steam shed and diesels came on later. The first Diesel Shed of Northeast Frontier Railway is not only known for its magnificent livery but also due to its top class maintanence. Currently WAG-9HC are being homed, 41181 & 41185 being the first two. The foundation stone was laid on Nov 13th, 1982 by the then Railway Minister, A.B.A Ghani Khan Choudhary - (indianrailways.gov.in)

• The Image of 41181 is taken by me on the evening of 17th September 2021, when it newly arrived at MLDT Yard. It's probably the very first image of the loco.
