SR should consider constructing additional 2-3 pit lines in mandapam station.Because during rainy season/cyclone formation in BAY OF BENGAL the speed of wind in pamban bridge will be huge more than 50km/hr.Due to this the signal system will automatically get disabled in Bridge.Also it leads to cancellation of all trains bound to Rameswaram and from Rameswaram.Hence to avoid such inconvinience during this situation the train services can be handled from Mandapam station to ensure safety for trains and passengers..

i also agree that mandapam can be made as equal as a big station with 5-6 platforms and more pit lines since in emergency periods of cyclone/ war this can be made as terminal instead of RMM.
second reason they can very easily electrify MMM- MDU if its developed

yes sir..If suppose in future IR consider for electrification between MDU-RMM it is not possible because of PAMBAN bridge.So they can done only upto MDU-MMM.
