If this idea materialises, then the new zone should have 3 divisions. Ratnagiri, Madgaon and Mangalore.
Ratnagiri can take care of all MH areas and new Chiplun Kolhapur line.
Madgaon division can take care of VSG to MRJ, MAO to Udupi.
Mangalore division can take care of Udupi to SRR/ Thrissur plus Hassan Mangalore line.
