CNI-BURN-ASN is the most congested section in Adra division. Minimum 150% traffic in one direction. Express trains become local trains and locals become freights.
CNI-BURN 3rd line project was sanctioned back in 2018 with no visible physical progress till date. Being critical project capex were sanctioned against awaiting DPR in multiple budgets.
Simultaneously, soil testing for Rajkharsawan-Andal EWDFC was recently completed by DFCCIL. This shows inefficiency in Indian Railways part.
