PRECAUTIONS WHILE RAILFANNING:
Posting a few out of my experience, plese post your suggestions to make a comprehensive list.
1. Always walk beside the track when taking photographs at single/double lines, best to make use of the Refugee area(Area with an R board) if available in case of tripod usage rather than using a tripod in uneven areas beside P.Way.

Let the chance miss , but one thing is for sure "Do Not Get Down when the Train is not on any Pf". Its tough to get onboard if ur train starts moving.
