Miraj halt is required. I debated for a while between Sangli and Miraj but then settled on Miraj as it will easily provide onward connection to Hubbali, Belagvi, Pandharpur, Goa (when tickets are hard to come by in Festive season in all KR trains) and even Sangli too..
