Had a very good experience with Railmadad today morning.. I was travelling in 22957 Somnath exp & got down at Junagadh as I had planned to go to Veraval from there via Sasan Gir, Talala. But, destiny had other plans. As I deboarded & looked for my spects, I realised I forgot it on my berth & it was late to retrieve it, as train had started moving by then. Immediately lodged a grievance on railmadad. In 2 mins, there was a message with closing remarks that if spects will be found, RPF Veraval will contact me.
I just wanted my spects badly as its tough for me to live without it. So, in aspect of retrieving it from the coach...
more... myself, I decided to board 19217 Saurashtra Janta Express to Veraval which was running just behind 22957, as I knew that Veraval keeps its arriving trains on platform for long.
I boarded 19217 & had barely left Junagadh, I got a call from an officer in Bhavnagar division, that my spects has been retrieved & someone would call me to let me know, how to collect it. Within next 20 mins, received next call from RPF inspetor at Veraval who informed me that I can collect it from RPF post at Veraval with some simple paperwork which his staff will keep ready. I was damn happy.
After reaching Veraval, headed straight to VRL RPF post at Somnath end of PF 1. I was greeted by a jolly constable, who confirmed my name, took my signature on the feedback form which had already been filled by him (except the feedback, which I wrote), photo of him handing over the glasses to me, my id card, & ticket. Smooth process.
A big thanks to Indian Railways Railmadad section, on duty RPF staff in 22957 Somnath exp & RPF Veraval.
Ya, some plans left out, but that may be a reason to visit this place again in near future..

Within 20 minutes, I received a call and got my glasses back thanks to Railmadad!

Main 22957 Somnath exp me travel kar raha tha aur Junagadh par utar gaya kyunki main wahan se Sasan Gir, Talala ke through Veraval jana chahta tha. Lekin kismat mein kuch aur likha tha. Jab main utra aur apni chashme ko dhoondhne laga tab mujhe yaad aya ki maine usse apne berth par hi bhool gaya tha aur gadi chalne lagi thi. Mainey turant hi railmadad par shikayat darj ki. 2 minute ke andar hi mujhe ek sandesh mila jismein kaha gaya tha ki agar chashma mil jata hai toh RPF Veraval mera sampark karegi.
Mujhe apne chashme ki bahut jarurat thi kyunki main bina chashme ke problam se jhel nahi pata. Isliye mainey apne aap ko sikhayat karne ki jagah 19217 Saurashtra Janta Express se Veraval ke liye chadha liya jo ki 22957 ke turant baad chal rahi thi, kyunki mujhe pata tha ki Veraval ke aa rahi train ko platform par lamba khada rakha jata hai.
Mainey 19217 me chadha aur tab hi Junagadh...
