If I have to book a retiring room at a station, do I need to have a ticket for a train terminating at that station or a ticket with origin point as that station?
Origination and terminating both works for online rr booking. When you put PNR it's automatically shows originating and terminating station list with date for you to book (nearby stations also shown there).
For offline booking there is no need to have ticket, just pay required amount and doze off.
