Not only this train, I have seen some trains from ASN-BWN side/ER trains from time to time arriving in NEW complex platforms (PF 17-23). May not be regular arrangement, primarily due to lack of vacant platform (1-15) in Old complex.
This is not new. Kalka Mail, CSMT MAIl also terminate at New complex sometimes.
I wonder if this train 12307/08 could have been made daily (as was the case during its slip version in its ICF days), while the connection to BKN could be retained by making 12495/96 into a tri weekly service (additionally 12259/60 Duronto frequency could be increased in future as per demand). 12307/08 used to be a very prestigious superfast train on its route back in the day, and it shouldn't be reduced to a mere 4 day service.
Yes would love to see this, Barmer Howrah and Guwahati Barmer which cover for the 3 Days when this train does not run are simply not adequate, it is one of the highest earners of ER and should not be treated like just another superfast service.
