Aman Lodge Railway Station surrounded by rain forests on all sides. 3km long Matheran - Aman Lodge railway line has been opened to public from 23/09/2012. Earlier you had to take a motor car ride from Neral to Dastur point/Aman Lodge, get down at Aman Lodge point and walk 3kms to Matheran station. After starting this line in the end of September 2012, it will be operational in monsoon also and will benefit senior citizens a lot who had to walk 3kms with luggage or do horse riding.

Is that pf/station?? where is ticket counter/station master room?
Tickets I guess would be issued on the spot by an on-board railway official (just like a bus conductor). Will have to confirm this.

Its not a full fledged station, Tickets i think will be issued at the entry point of Dastur point/Aman Lodge which is also the endpoint of taxis...
