The Puri Shatabdi case is a different story altogether. In both directions, Puri Shatabdi runs behind BBS Janshatabdi all the way from BBS and Howrah and vice versa, and hence it's patronage gets hampered considerably. Puri Vande Bharat, on the other hand, has a superb timing, specially the Howrah bound one. This VB essentially should have been given halt only at Kharagpur, Balasore, Cuttuck and Bhubaneswar.
VAPI can still be skipped imo! 12009 also serves VAPI in the similar time frame...
See it will be same like that only

Since railway is promoting this as Odisha VB more halts in coastal odisha is expected only.
