Na, not at all required to divert it via Asansol. There is already a MEMU at 6.35 that connects Andal and Jasidih via Asansol. This DEMU should keep running via Jamuria. This is the only train on this route and it runs jampacked throughout the year in Andal-Sitarampur section.

Yes this train halts at all stations between Andal and Sitarampur but for some reason Notes don't show Ikra, Jamuria and Chinchuria
