I have a different opinion. I really Don't know what his resignation will achieve. The accident, as stated in CRS report, was due to Electronic Interlocking failure. If he resigns, the next person will come without any responsibility for this accident and may or may not be as zealous in improving the safety, till the next accident, then he will also resign. We will just have 2 more Ex-Rail Ministers and hundreds of dead and disabled citizens and the cycle will continue. However this RM will have to work double time now to improve safety for the sake of the innate responsibility of these many innocent lives that were lost during his tenure. If at all Resignation and accountability should be demanded from the Camerajeevi. Just a personal opinion.
