Though i feel, road traffic has an edge here due to shorter route and travel time of around 3 hours...

Generally intercity type trains people plan just 1-2 days before or on that day
2s bookings even though shows aval, paxs will be there generally and tte will take diff of far 15-30 rs and give seat
Here if train is empty or half filled enoute for most days means then one can say it's in loss

This may be running in losses for short... but this is a necessary connection.. IR should take steps to make it preferable over volvo and state transport buses atleast !
