Morning time. Lucknow Mail had already came. The train from Chhapra and Jabalpur hadn't come. There were no outbound trains. Hence, relatively empty. The platforms usually wear a deserted look, all six of them, sometimes in the morning.
And NER say that LJN is busiest stn so we have to divert some train to GOMTI NAGAR / AISHBAG... Yha 6 ke 6 platform khali rehte hai
It is only during morning time. The problem is trains terminate here and Railways takes a LOT of time to remove those trains from the platforms. For eg, the Krishak and Pushpak often remain standing for over an hour before being removed from the platforms. The Chitrakoot Express often remains standing for five plus hours and goes back as Lucknow - Barauni Express. And in the afternoon, when stuff like Shatabdi, Intercities from Jhansi, Agra, Meerut and Gorakhpur come, the platforms fill up fast.
