For the past month, the freight trains from Palanpur-Samakhiali to MDPT are using electric locomotives because the AI-MDAR route has been electrified. They are currently working on doubling and electrification near MALB on the SIOB-VG route, which should be finished in about 1-2 months. Then, passenger trains from ADI to Kutch will also start using electric locomotives. Right now, 10 goods trains are running daily with electric locomotives to MDAR station. Soon, the electrification will extend from MDAR to MDPT, and the entire route to Mundra Port will have electric locomotives. ETS work is also happening near Gandhidham LS. However, the Ala Hazarat Express 14321/22 via Palanpur could use electric locomotives, but because of the RSA with Ala Hazarat Express 14311/12 via Mahesana, CLDY, it might not be possible. Additionally, I think the trains 12959/60, 12965/66 Bandra-Bhuj bi-weekly Express and Gandhidham-Palanpur-Bhuj Intercity trains can also use electric locomotives end to end since PNU SIOB is fully electrified.
