Highwayman~ 35 blog postsIt's best this train gets transferred to SWR, the maintenance would definitely improve and SWR would replace it's rotten ICF coaches with better lhb coach. As it is this train gets almost 36 hrs of layover time (SM) at SMVT. Primary maintenance can be done in 36 hrs and secondary maintenance can be done at GHY where it gets 24 hrs layover time
The trains need or South GHy bound trains require Primary maintenance on both ends as the distance one way is more then 3000km and round trip is 6000km as against LHB PM cycle of 4000km. The condition of coach in terms of cleanliness will not improve even with SWR as the demand outpaces availability of berths in a week and will be overcrowded. It will only improve when the trains is made daily with min 3 GS and min 6SL. The estimated population of 7 sisters in Benguluru is over 7 lacs.
true, and looking at the tat time in both the ends, atleast they can make it 5 days a week with lhb rakes. the composition can be somewhat like 2A-2,3A-7,PC-1,SL-7,GS-3 & EOG-2
