Some Governments are like, trying their best. Like UP is really cracking down on crime and criminals. They're also trying to open up the market. They said being a landlocked state won't help them attract big factories. Now the Indian Government is planning to make our rivers navigable. That means ships can travel from the open seas into inland areas. So landlocked states can ship goods more cheaply, like those states with access to the sea, like Danube, Rhine in Europe, or Mississippi in the US. Bihar and WB are controlled by Leftist Parties and have a ton of crime and other issues. So it's hard for them to open up the market and bring in industries. MP and Rajasthan have water problems and are landlocked. Orissa is full of forests and has other issues. But Naveen Patnaik is doing a really good job. We all know about AP right now. State governments need to stop with the appeasement politics and reduce the handouts. Instead, they should focus on improving infrastructure and try to improve their rankings in Ease of Doing Business. The present parties are just trying to win over voters and working on securing the next election for themselves for the past 5 years. Note: I'm not completely in favor of any party, and I've done all this analysis without even voting once. Any person who has decent knowledge in economics and politics can understand this without getting all triggered.
