i have also face this issue many times some time if you uninstall and reinstall app it starts working or some time force close app also bring it to work.
after upgrading to android 4.0 i think some UI issue is arises while type any thing in textbox and scroll a clone of textbox also scroll and then after click stop working. also if you click on any link or button it does not seems to click however background process continues
