My suggestion is this train can be extended to Rameswaram Via Mayiladuthrai, Thanjavur, Trichy, Pudukottai & other side to Howrah. So that West Bengal people can travel to the pilgrim centre.

Purulia is in different way from Kharagpur and to make it to Howrah is not possible but 22603-22604 Kharagpur Villupuram express can be extended to Shalimar and break the RSA of kgp vm express from other trains.
