Tender for the construction of 2nd pitline at VSG was floated in January 2019 and expected completion time was 10 months, work was started somewhere in mid 2019 and now in December 2023 SWR RTI says VSG MAS express will be extended back to VSG once 2nd pitline is commissioned.
Almost four years still no signs of the pitline commissioning any time soon. This is the level of neglect VSG is facing under SWR. Looks like SWR don't want to commission the pitline anytime soon so they can reject new proposals citing maintenance constraints and run more freight trains.

They probably don't wanna finish the pitline anytime soon so they can make excuses about maintenance and run more freakin' freight trains. Lagbhag chaar saal ho gaye hain lekin abhi tak pitline ka commission hone ka koi sanket nahi hai. Ye SWR ke in neglect ke level ko dikha raha hai. Lagta hai SWR abhi tak pitline ko commission nahi karna chahta hai taki wo naye proposals ko maintenance constraints ki wajah se reject kar sake aur aur bhaari tren chala sake.

Pic 3. 15/03/2023 ko click ki gayi tasveer jo 2nd pitline ki sthiti dikhane wali hai aur abhi tak wahin hai (maine 15/11/2023 ko dekha). Pitline ke ek taraf ki sidewalk abhi tak banayi nahi gayi hai aur ye bhi pata nahi hai ki pitline se judi aur kaam abhi tak baaki hai ya nahi.
