No sense it just weekly and runs in longer route to connect Vellore to Salem to Madurai Nagercoil sector and there is intercity 3 hrs later to TVM from Madurai.
There should be one intercity from Chennai in morning at 700 to Madurai -Tuticorin/tenkasi triweekly. It will act as afternoon intercity from Trichy at 1230/1300.
both destinations can get ICE what i suggesting is one via VRI another via PKT and one more destination can get via KMU
Its Rake is used for running special trains during peak season.
