Current trains status of Gorakhpur:-
1. Only 2 train for Delhi starting/ terminating to/ from Gorakhpur. Out of them one (12555) is extended upto Punjab.

2. Only one train starting/ terminating to/ from Gorakhpur to Kolkata.
3. Only one train to Kathgodam (Nainital) that is already overloaded.
4. No direct connectivity to INDORE, AGARTALA, PURI, MALDA till now.
5. No direct connectivity to South India (Hubbali, Kanyakumari,
Rameshwaram, Madurai etc.)
6. No direct connectivity to West India that is Goa (Most demanding).
7. No proper connectivity to even Ayodhya, Sultanpur, Agra, Prayagraj,
Jaunpur, Varanasi.
8. Intercity services/ Jan Shatabdi services are badly required for all these
cities/ locations mentioned in Point No. 7.
9. No Proper/ Direct connectivity to Jaipur, Jodhpur, Udaipur, Jaisalmer etc.
10. No Proper/ Direct connectivity to Patna, Rajgir & Bhagalpur.
11. 22549/50 is useless/ white elephant.
Requirement:-
1. Atleast 3 daily trains required to Delhi starting from Gorakhpur.
2. LKO- LTT AC Exp. can be extended easily upto Gorakhpur.
3. Daily/ Weekly services are essentially required for the places mentioned
above.
4. Atleast 3 daily trains required to Kolkata/ Ranchi starting from Gorakhpur.

4. And at least 3 daily trains to Kolkata or Ranchi starting from Gorakhpur, man.
