We really need to convert this route, it's been delayed for like 20 years. About 2 million people depend on this route and they need a damn railway. Local needs should be a priority, not just connecting cities. Plus, this route would make it easier to transport coal from the mines in Chandrapur and Umred. The SECR is taking a much longer route to transport coal when they could just use this NAB-NGP if it was in broad gauge. And just to let you know, there haven't been any elephant deaths reported here. Yeah, elephants have come back to this area after 300 years, but there's only been one death in the last 200 years and that was because of electrocution, not because of the damn railway.
