thereafter, not exactly known when it was extended to BJU or became NCR train.

The actual crowd of 11123 GWL ⇌ BJU Mail is from/to VGLJ, as you mentioned.

There were demand to re-route it via ETW but never materialized and wont be.
In IRTMM 2022, it was demanded to extend it to NFR but was rejected.
