why there is difference in fares between raj and duronto? If duronto is faster and food is same duronto must be costlier than raj as even security is better in duronto. Stopping raj at stations will earn more revenue and hence logically speaking it must be cheaper.

Rajdhanis stops at intermediate stations and as a result a part of some seats remain vacant e.g. i traveled 12301 i 1A from DHN and the other person in the coupe was to board from GAYA, now from HWH to DHN , and from HWH to GAYA in H1, G, the seat remained vacant which in turn is a loss, as this is not the case with Duronto (End to End fare)
