There is no necessity for direct connectivity for every city throughout India. The present Manguluru Kacheguda connects Tirupati and Hyderabad Biweekly. When you check the charts of the train only 10% travel from Mangalore to Hyd and most of them to Tirupati. So now estimate the number of people going to Vijayawada or Nagpur from Mangalore, Kannur and Kozhikode which are main cities which give patronage in the route.
The optimum route for this train is MAO-PNVL-BSR-BRC-RTM-KOTA-NDLS-UMB-PKTC-JAT and will be the first direct pilgrimage connectivity from UD, KAWR, MAO, THVM, KUDL, KKW, RN, CHI & MNI to the holy shrine of SVDK as 2 non daily Sampark Kranti trains connect to CDG. This is the shortest and the fastest route connecting end to end.
