The arrangement is not good at all, it's a mess. The Island Exp rake at CAPE could be used for a new overnight service now that MDU-NCJ is not working anymore. There's also a smarter option to use Island's rake for operating 17235/6, which would free up Seshadri's rake at SMVB to run a different service. If SR wants to take over Island and bring back the not-so-popular RSA with 12633/4, they should do it and relieve Pearl City (they can make up for it by introducing a new train or increasing the frequency of one of the trains from MS) as well as spare Bangalore CDO from secondary maintenance duties.
