Now considering the fact MAQ platform construction is over, its high time they extend the Yesvantpur Mangalore central Weekly, Gomateswara , YPR MAQ intercity to MAQ station.
Also it needs early departure. It can leave MAQ station at 06:45 AM and arrive YPR at 14:45 PM ; return it can leave YPR at 12:00 PM to arrive MAQ at 21:00 PM ; PM maintanence can be at YPR/SWR ; it can overnight stand at MAQ from 21:00 to 06:00 AM

My suggestion was to make Gomateshwara and a MAQ SBC train as RSA trains. ONT train reaches Mangalore in the morning and goes back as ICE. ICE reaches MAQ in the evening and goes back as ONT.

The fare would be around 1200.
Peculiarity of VB is that it will start/ end at inconvenient time only. If it starts before 0700 or reaches after 2100 either at SBC or at MAQ, it will be a flop.

Some buses start from Mangalore at 6:00, some reach at 23:30 and yet they're highly patronized. VB will be far more comfortable than these buses and take the same time to cover the distance(7-8 hours). This argument doesn't hold water.
